MEET RAY
Ray is the owner of The Laughing Buddha Tattoo, and has been tattooing for over 13 years. He started his apprenticeship following a workplace accident which allowed him the opportunity to follow his love of drawing and art. He completed his apprenticeship in Brisbane under the one and only Eric Bruckner. Ray loves a variety of styles but Japanese, neotrad & realistic are his favs..which has been his inspiration for the look of his studio. When he's not tattooing you will catch him painting, gardening & spending time with his wife, kids and friends out camping.
MEET LIZZIE
Lizzie has been tattooing for almost 12 years! She moved to Townsville 12 years ago to learn the art of tattooing. Lizzie loves doing realistic portraits, horror and watercolour. She is a huge fan of the art of colour. When lizzie isnt working, she is spending time with her husband, kids, dogs & family. Ray has always been a big inspiration in lizzie's life and she is stoked to have this opportunity to continue to work alongside her big brother!
MEET FAITH
Faith is our enthusiastic apprentice who is excited to be on this creative journey. Faith made the big move from Bowen to Townsville in 2021 to pursue a career in tattooing and started with The Laughing Buddha in May 2022. Faith has always wanted to be in the industry and is interested in learning traditional / neo-traditional styles but is hoping to be versatile in all areas of art. Faith also enjoys playing saxophone, spending time with family and animals, and being out in nature.
